Welcome!

My name's Emma Paterson, welcome to my site! I graduated from the
Walter Cronkite School of Journalism at Arizona State University in May 2025. I completed my four years Cum Laude with a B.A. in Journalism and Mass Communications with a minor in Political Science. I spent my final semester of college reporting for Cronkite News in Washington D.C., with a focus on borderlands, immigration and politics. In my time in Washington, I was awarded the White House Correspondents' Association Scholarship Award for my work.

Originally from Newport, Rhode Island, I graduated from Rogers High School in May of 2021. I've also lived in Palma de Mallorca, Spain and Amsterdam. Having the opportunity to travel the world helped form my perspective on world conflicts and the importance of news. I am fluent in all Adobe programs, being NOCTI certified in Advertising and Design. I also have experience in communication techniques through my internships I've completed over the years.

Through these past four years in Arizona, I've learned as much as I possibly can to prepare myself for a career after college.

I hope to either be a writer covering politics, world affairs or music. On this site, you can check out my resume, articles, photography and assignments I've done throughout the years.
